NFL Playoff Wild Card Round

Ok football fans that's a wrap for the NFL's regular season and we finally have our 12 best teams for this years playoff. It's been a up and down season all year and it's pretty cool seeing the Cowboys, Raiders, Lions, and Dolphins back in the mix. Before we get into playoff talk big shout out to ya boy Tom Brady. Sunday he passed Miami Dolphins great Dan Marino on the all time passing yards list and is now in fourth place for the most passing yard. The irony in this is he was also playing against the Dolphins when he broke Marino's record.

To start off, let's see who all clinched the playoffs this year. In the AFC we have the Patriots, Chiefs, Steelers, Texans, Raiders, and Dolphins. In the NFC we have the Cowboys, Falcons, Seahawks, Packers, Giants, and Lions. The Patriots, Chiefs, Cowboys, and Falcons will have first round byes for Round 1 of the playoffs so those four teams will get a much needed break this week from a long season. Patriots and Cowboys will have the home field advantage during the playoffs this year due to having the best records in both of their divisions.

Now let's jump into a brief rundown of the Wild Card week. Without Derek Carr I'm worried about the Raiders, but in this first round I expect them to get by the Texans and advance. I can definitively say I like the Seahawks and Steelers in their match-ups this week and can feel good about it, both teams have seasoned vets that know what it takes to win a Super Bowl. This Giants vs. Packers game is a toss up for me, it just depends who shows up. Like I said in my last NFL blog, the Packers and Aaron Rodgers are really hot right now. In Green Bay's last game Rodgers threw for a whopping 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. But you can never count a Manning out of anything, and I know Eli has got to be wanting to 1 up his big bro after Peyton won his Super Bowl last year. We all seen the press box shot of Eli's reaction towards Peyton's big win and tied him in Super Bowl rings, he didn't look to happy about that.

January 7th.

Oakland Raiders vs. Houston Texans

Time: 4:35 ET
Line: Texans -3.5

Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks

Time: 8:15 ET
Line: Seahawks -8


January 8th.

Miami Dolphins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Time: 1:05 ET
Line: Steelers -10

New York Giants vs. Green Bay Packers

Time: 4:40 ET
Line: Packers -4.5

    Early Access started on Battlefront 2 and the outrage began immediately.  Everyone is saying that main characters of the franchise are locked behind either a pay wall or random luck of the draw with loot crates, that seem to take forever to obtain.  It is sad to see such a promising game get stuck with a pay to win setup.   Pay to win will be the death of the Triple A title and the larger developers if they don't see this.   It is insane to expect people who have already paid $60 for the game you made, to pay another amount of money to unlock content in the game. This model makes people feel like unappreciated and makes the consumer angry which is not a profitable business model.  I am perfectly fine with games that put cosmetics into loot boxes that I have the option to pay for.  This model does not effect the main game play and does not give anyone person a advantage just because they spend more money. Redskins Refuse to Wear the Color Rush Jersey Tonight

  The fact hat they are the only team that has fussed about this to this point is astounding. But what doesn’t make sense is, they have one of my favorite color rushes.  Theirs is actually enough of a change to make it cool. Unlike some jerseys.  I think they look good but whatever if the team doesn’t want to wear the jersey don’t think you should make them.

The SEC Struggles this Bowl Season

   If you come to the south there is no doubt in anyone's mind down here.  The SEC is the best and for some people the only conference in the NCAA.  They may not even watch other teams unless they are playing a SEC team.     This bowl season is not showing that to be true though.  The SEC is at the moment of writing this 0-3 and with Mississippi State playing at this moment we are looking at 0-4.  I know that we have two teams playing in the playoffs and another team playing Monday as well.     I live in the south and love SEC football but I do not think that we are the best conference.  There have been years that we were the best conference in the NCAA but they are not in previous years.  We have a few good teams a year but the overall conference is below average.
