The Slow Death of ESPN
ESPN has for as long as I have been alive, been the go to place for sports news and to watch games. Waking up to watch College Gameday or Sportscenter and see the things that I may have missed or relive some of the best moments in sports. They were the industry leader in sports content and everyone was chasing them. I believe that time is coming to a close and it is coming faster than most expect. With outlets such as Barstool Sports and Bleacher Report coming on to the sports scene ESPN has lost some of its following and I think I know the answer to that as well. When I go looking for sports news that’s all I am looking for is sports news. I don’t want to hear about politics or anything of that nature. That is what Fox’s News and CNN are for. I don’t go to a sports website to see which player disapproves of the president this week. I go to see what the score was to the late NBA game that I fell asleep watching.
